Pastor Stacee Fischer Gehring joined us at High Street Church in July. She comes to High Street Church from First United Methodist Church in Bloomington.
Sherrie was appointed as High Street Associate in July 2015. She works especially with ministries that connect people to the church and one another, and classes and small groups that allow for growth in faith. She is also excited about a new family ministry emphasis being started this school year.
Charlotte received her call into ministry as a lay person in the High Street Church congregation. Charlotte’s major responsibility includes visitation to shut-in members.
Casey manages the outer office and provides secretarial services to the Pastors as well as coordinates the many volunteers who assist in the church office. She maintains the church calendar, does the desktop publishing for the church and keeps our network and computers up-to-date. Also, handles all the media for the church.
Arline is responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling our Nursery Attendants, as well as overseeing all the activities our Nursery Department offers for children. It is her goal to provide a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment for the children in our nursery.
Sandra oversees several programs at High Street which are open to the community at large: (1) weekly Thursday Luncheons for seniors; (2) Update Learning, six weeks of classes for adults on Mondays in the spring and fall; and (3) a Grief Recovery Group, which meets for six weeks, usually in the spring and early fall. She also serves as a liaison for the High Street Travelers program.
Lindsay has been married for 10 years and has two children. She has been with Angels on High Preschool since 2010 as a parent, board member, and classroom teacher’s assistance since 2012. She loves outdoor activities – boating, swimming, gardening, and being with her family.
Hannah is a student majoring in Music Education at Ball State. She began at High Street as a Choral Scholar, singing with the Sanctuary Choir, back in 2012. Throughout her time at High Street, she has taken on many other positions within the church. These positions include Nursery Attendant, Director of Call to Christ (the youth choir), Church Administrator, and Choral Scholar.
Andrew leads the adult choir and coordinating the overall musical worship of the church. Andrew moved to Muncie for a teaching position at Ball State and has served congregations in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and Cleveland.
CLAY leads our praise band, Resounding Mercy. Clay and his wife Carey have two children, Hayden and Hayley. The Arnett’s have attended High Street UMC since 2005. Clay, a teacher of 16 years, is the Director of Bands and Orchestras at Muncie Central High School. He co-owns Souled Out Entertainment and likes to spend his free time with his family playing golf, reading, attending concerts and sporting events. Clay was called to serve as the praise band leader and truly feels it has strengthened his faith and personal relationship with God!
Denby oversees all custodial staff and maintenance needs.
Joel is that custodian and does cleaning or anything else as needed.
