What is Parent’s Day Out?

Angels on High Preschool offers a Parent’s Day Out (PDO) Program for any family in the community.  The purpose of PDO is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for children while continuing to strengthen their early childhood development. This program can be used with the Angels on High Preschool for extended care. It can also be used as child care for your child who is not attending the preschool. We offer flexible sessions, so we can meet all the needs of our community.

What do you offer children?
Our program offers a structured setting and play for children ages 12 months – 6 years old. Our daily routine and schedule include:
*Fine Motor Skill Time          *Gross Motor Skill Time
*Structured & Choice Play   *Outside and Gym Play
*Songs and Stories                 *Social Development

Are your staff trained?
Our Parent’s Day Out Staff have been First Aid and CPR trained/certified.  They are loving teachers who create situations in which your child will enjoy their time and grow!

Will my child eat lunch and snack?
We have a lunch time from 11:30-12:30 each day. We ask that each family provide a sack lunch/drink for their child. We have a refrigerator to keep those lunches in during the day.
We do provide both a morning and an afternoon snack.

Can my child take a nap?
Our facility provides a quiet space for children who need to nap. We have safety approved cots and cribs.

Is your building secure?
Angels on High Preschool and PDO have moved into a recently remodeled building on the church property. All exterior doors are locked during the day. We have buzzer systems on the two front doors, with a receptionist to greet each person as they enter the building. We have video cameras and a privacy fence.

What is the child to staff ratio?
Our program is designed to have 10 children in each age group at one time. We follow 5 children to 1 adult ratio for children under 2 years old. We follow a ratio of 8 children to 1 adult for older children.

How do I register my child?
You register your child for sessions in advance and guarantee your spot through prepay. We also have flexibility, so that you can call when it is needed and use if spots are available.
